Rapoport and Harvard University Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and of Physics Adam E. Cohen were often asked in Liberia, a nation with little infrastructure or industry, recovering from fifteen years of brutal and atrocious civil war during which schools, like nearly all other institutions, were abandoned, looted, and destroyed. In this article, they offer an answer.
